General Return Guidelines
Before returning a product, please carefully read the instructions listed below.
Generally the following applies in all cases:
- Please contact us before making any return shipment (see different procedures below)
- Returns require prior written approval from Yanmar.
- Parts may not be returned without approval.
Return Categories and Procedures
1. New Parts - Within the 30-Day Return Period (Parts not needed or ordered by mistake)
You have received your order. There is nothing wrong with your delivery, but
- you no longer need the part
- you ordered the wrong part
- you ordered the wrong quantity
In these cases please submit an Online Return request via YParts within 30 days as follows:
ONLINE RETURN REQUESTS
Administrators with full visibility can submit return requests (according to applicable terms & conditions) online via YParts within the 30-day return period.
Go to "My Profile > My Orders", then select your order. If a return is possible according to Yanmar conditions, you will see a RETURN link.

Click on this link and complete the return items information for the part you want to return and submit with the necessary attachment (if applicable)
You can find an overview of all your returns under "My Account > My Returns".
2. NEW PARTS - Incorrect Deliveries, Catalogue Errors, Wrong Part Number, Defective Parts - (Not in case of Transport Damage!)
If a return shipment is required due to:
- an incorrect part being delivered,
- an incorrect quantity being delivered,
- a catalogue error,
- a wrong part recommendation,
- a defective or improperly packaged part (without transport damage)
Please use the form below and return to ycee-spareparts@yanmar.com for approval.
Claims must be submitted before installation.
Important: Parts that are defective after installation fall under warranty. In this case, please submit a claim through the Yanmar Warranty System
3. Transport Damage
If a part was damaged during transport:
- Please complete the corresponding form.
- Submit it within the specified timeframe along with images for review to ycee-spareparts@yanmar.com
- Claims must be submitted before installation.
4. Annual Stock Return (Beyond the 30-Day Return Period)
- Dealers may apply for an annual stock return twice per year.
- Returned products must be new, unused, and within their sell-by-date
- Please also note our return policy in section 9.2.6 of our general terms and conditions
- Complete the "Annual Return" form and submit it for approval to ycee-spareparts@yanmar.com
